Tanks for liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) of our own production:

Tanks are designed for receiving, storing and dispensing liquefied gas. Liquefied hydrocarbon gas for liquid phase storage must be stored under pressure.

The tank design may look like a cylindrical steel tank or a spherical gas holder. These tanks are welded structures with high requirements to the materials used in their manufacture. Welded seams of tank construction are subject to 100% quality control by various non-destructive methods (ultrasonic defectoscopy and radiation control).

Our company manufactures tanks from steels with higher requirements to chemical composition, mechanical properties and sheet quality, in accordance with special specifications (the main steel used is grade-09G2S).

According to the type of design, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanks are divided into:

• ground;
• underground.

Tanks (tanks) for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) aboveground:

Such tanks are used for stationary ground storage of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPG) with working pressure up to 1.6 MPa and at minimum ambient temperature down to -40°C.

The design, manufacture and operation of above-ground liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage tanks shall meet the requirements of such state standards:

• SOO IPS 71.120-217:2009;
• PB 12-609-03 “Safety rules for facilities using liquefied hydrocarbon gases”;
• PB 03-584-03 “Rules for design, manufacture and acceptance of vessels and steel welded apparatus”;
• PB 03-576-03 “Rules of device and safe operation of pressure vessels”.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) storage vessels of above-ground design are all-welded, horizontal, cylindrical body with elliptical bottoms. In the bottoms and the bottom of the body at the design stage are provided holes for connecting the vessel to the piping. According to the requirements of normative documents, the holes should not be located at the intersection of welds.

Ground gas holders are installed on saddle supports, the angle of coverage of which should be at least 120°. The number of supports and their size should be determined by the requirements to ensure that the vessel does not tip over.

In the upper part there is a neck or several necks for installation of operating equipment and for inspection, cleaning, testing and control of the inner surface. The number and diameter of the necks is determined based on the Customer’s requirements, as well as the purpose of the neck.

Ground tanks and vessels (LPG) are made of 09G2S steel. The wall thickness depends on the design pressure, operating temperature, characteristics and chemical composition of the LPG. The service life of the tank is determined by operational features and should be specified in the passport of the above-ground storage tank for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It also specifies the tests performed (quality control of welds, leak test).

The exterior surface of above-ground tanks (LPG) is coated with white-gray enamel, and a “Propane Flammable” label is applied.

Tanks for propane-butane mixture storage are delivered fully prepared. At the construction site only installation on the ground supports, grounding and connection of the vessel to the piping is carried out. On the upper part of the body there are sling loops for loading and unloading of the vessel during delivery of the above-ground LPG storage tank to the place of operation.

Tanks, gas holders for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) underground:

These tanks are used for storage of liquefied hydrocarbon gas at gas stations and in systems of autonomous gas supply of different residential and industrial objects.

Underground tanks for storage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are a horizontal cylindrical body with elliptical bottoms, supports and openings in the upper part (necks, spigots, hatches). The number of necks in the tank depends on the composition and quantity of equipment installed in the tank. The height of the neck depends on the installation depth and must be sufficient for normal operation and inspection/repair.

Underground tanks for storage of liquefied gases are operated at pressure up to 1.6 MPa and at temperature regime from -40 to +40°C. In cold climatic conditions of the underground LPG tank design a gas heater is provided.

Underground tanks (LPG) undergo leak testing, hydraulic testing, weld quality control in accordance with state norms and standards.

The delivery set of underground tanks for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) includes:

• vessel passport;
• process equipment at the Customer’s request (stop valves, valves, pressure gauge, level control devices, instrumentation, etc.).

Corrosion protection of underground tanks for liquefied gases (LPG):

When LPG storage tanks are located underground, special attention must be paid to protecting the exterior surface from the aggressive effects of soil.

The main methods of anticorrosive surface treatment of underground tanks for storage of liquefied gases are: roll waterproofing, use of bitumen mastic, fiberglass fleece, use of paints based on epoxy resins (paints based on epoxy resins have high adhesion, resistance to water and temperature differences (from -60 ° C to +200 ° C), which makes them especially indispensable in the protection of underground tanks ).

The choice of protection method depends on the degree of soil moisture, volume of groundwater.

Underground Tanks:

We manufacture LPG storage tanks in accordance with all regulations and requirements for LPG facilities.

This tank truck consists of a tank (LPG) mounted on the vehicle chassis, made of high quality steel of increased strength. Our company offers storage tanks for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) of different volumes. For protection from sunlight the tank is protected by a shade cover made of stainless steel. Operating temperature from -400C to +500C, working pressure in the tank is 1.6MPa or 1.8MPa.

The tank truck (LPG) manufactured by our company is delivered complete with: inspection hatch, liquid phase bottom valve, emergency valve, safety valve, level gauge, thermometer and pressure gauge. The truck chassis is provided by the Customer.
