EP/EPP tanks

EP/EPP tanks of own production:

“KHIMMASHNEFTEGAZ” Company manufactures and supplies underground drainage tanks EP/EPP which are used for temporary storage and collection of oil products at the enterprises of oil and gas and coke-chemical industries, as a tank for draining fuel from technological systems, for storing gas condensate, for draining residues of various aggressive liquids (oil, oil, diesel fuel, transformer oil, gasoline, alkalis, acids, sewage, etc.). It should be noted that they are not used for discharge of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LHG).

EP tank is an all-welded metal horizontal apparatus (cylinder), operating under pressure not exceeding 0,07MPa, volume from 1m³ to 200m³, consisting of conical bottoms, hatches (necks) and fittings. Hatches are located in the upper part of the tank. One of them is designed for filling and withdrawal of petroleum product from the unit, the second – for technological and repair works.

For oil injection/pumping a semi-submersible pump and other technological equipment for control and measuring works (thermometer, liquid level indicator, pressure gauge, filters for capturing mechanical impurities and preventing sediment accumulation) can be mounted on one of the throats.

The enclosure material must be resistant to the negative effects of the ground to prevent corrosive, chemical and physical changes. For this purpose, a waterproofing coating made of bitumen-polymer mastics is applied to the outer side.

“KHIMMASHNEFTEGAZ” manufactures underground drainage tanks of two types:

• EP without heater.
• EPP with heater for areas where the ambient temperature is below the freezing point of the liquid.

Heating of the EPP tank body is carried out by a metal coil in the form of pipes inside the shell, in which (pipes) a steam-water mixture circulates, or by a heating cable.

Technological piping of underground drainage tanks:

At the construction site, all vessels are connected to a pipeline, which on one side fits to the pipe drain filter and on the other side to a pump installed in one of the necks, or drops below the level of the so-called “dead residue”, thereby creating a hydraulic shutoff that prevents the formation of a spark during draining and filling operations.

For reliable and safe application in EP/EPP tanks there are spigots and fittings for installation of control-measuring and other equipment, for example, thermometer, pressure gauge, devices for determination of product quantity (level gauges), thermoelectric converter, devices for automatic stop of product supply or pumping, signaling systems, shut-off and control valves.
